Fisher & Paykel Vitera Full Face CPAP Mask - Mannequin Not Included

Adaptive seal and open view with Vitera comfort

RollFit XT cushion and stability support

The Vitera’s RollFit XT cushion flexes to help maintain a seal as you turn. A forehead support and low-profile stability bar help keep the cushion anchored, reducing disruptions from position changes.

  • Adaptive cushion movement targets fewer leak interruptions
  • Stability features assist with toss-and-turn nights
  • Designed to support back, side, and active sleeping

EasyFrame visibility and quick handling

The slim EasyFrame preserves your line of sight so you can read or watch TV while therapy runs. Tactile headgear clips make late-night removal and reattachment straightforward.

  • Open sightline for pre-sleep routines
  • Fit-and-save clips simplify on/off in the dark
  • Adjustable forehead clip helps reduce pressure on the face

VentiCool headgear comfort

Vitera headgear uses breathable VentiCool fabric to improve moisture transfer. In internal Paykel Healthcare testing, the material showed a 35% improvement in moisture transfer, which can translate to less perspiration and more stable comfort.

  • Breathable fabric designed to help prevent heat buildup
  • Six Velcro tabs to fine-tune fit
Fit, sizing, and compatibility essentials

The frame is one-size; cushions come in Small, Medium, and Large. Headgear is available in Small or Medium/Large (most use M/L). Choose the Fit Pack if you prefer to try all three cushion sizes. For measurements, use the official Vitera Sizing Guide. The mask is magnet-free, supporting safety for many with pacemakers, insulin pumps, or other implants.

First-week comfort tuning
  1. Start with a gentle fit, then use the six Velcro tabs to make small, even adjustments.
  2. Use the quick-release clips for bathroom breaks instead of undoing all straps.
  3. If needed, fine-tune the top strap and forehead clip to balance seal and comfort.
  4. For practical setup insights, see our Vitera product review or the official User Guide.
Keep therapy on track: replacements

Refresh wear parts to maintain performance: swap cushions periodically and replace headgear when stretch sets in. Shop Vitera cushions, Vitera headgear, and headgear clips as needed.

FAQs about the Fisher & Paykel Vitera Full Face Mask

Are the parts for this mask interchangeable with parts for the simplus?

With the exception of the swivel, which is interchangeable with the Simplus, Eson, and Vitera; the Vitera uses parts that are unique to this specific mask and are not interchangeable with other masks, including the Simplus.

What sleeping positions can this mask support?

The Vitera is exceptionally good for back sleeping, can accommodate side sleeping, and does well with active sleepers, too. Stomach sleepers should opt for a low-profile full face mask like the DreamWear Full Face or AirFit F30i.

Does the Vitera use magnetic clips?

The Vitera does not use magnetic clips for the headgear. It's safe to use for people that have certain implanted medical devices, including pacemakers and defibrillators.

How to stop full face mask leaks?

Full face masks can leak when pressure is applied from a pillow or the bed, depending on your sleeping position. The Vitera was designed with a flexible cushion, designed to give you the maximum amount of movement without breaking the seal of your mask. If you notice a mask leak as soon as you start your machine, you can usually resolve this by tightening the straps. Be careful not to overtighten, as this can put you at risk for injury.

How to breathe with a full face CPAP mask?

Breathing with a full face CPAP mask can be difficult at first, as you will initially need to adjust to the incoming pressure and synchronize your breathing. When the airflow begins, take a deep breath and then exhale. Take another breath in the same way, and then try to breathe normally. It may take a few breaths for the pressure relief features of the machine to kick in, but once that happens you should be able to breathe normally.

What’s the difference between simplus vs Vitera?

The Simplus and Vitera look very similar and share a 360-degree ball-and-socket hose joint. Outisde of that, the newer Vitera features an improved hose connector with VisiBlue highlights for easily identifiable connection points. The nasal bridge connector is also slimmer and the headgear clips are much easier to connect to the mask frame than the Simplus headgear. The Vitera headgear also corrects an issue with the Simplus headgear that allowed it to be accidentally removed when trying to adjust the fit. Finally, the RollFit cushion of the Vitera is also much softer and more effective than the Simplus cushion and is significantly more effective at containing leaks.

    Almost Perfect for Stuffy Noses

I like this mask because it doesn’t put pressure on my nose. I have problems with constantly being stopped up. While I like the memory foam masks better and have used them for years not being stopped up means more to me now. The headgear is really well made too compared to others.

Perfect Full-Face Mask, but with a flax

I have owned two F&P Vitera full face masks, and I love them. They were very comfortable for me all night long. My first mask was used when I weighed 295 lbs, and the second one was used at 235 lbs, my face really thinned out. I never had any issues with size or air leaks. I also have very oily skin, and the silicone was never affected by it. Occasionally, I get lazy and don't wash the mask, wearing it for two nights before cleaning it. Still no air leakage.

I appreciated the clip that attaches to the mask; it makes washing, drying, and reattaching the headgear to the mask easy without needing to readjust the straps. The hose elbow is also nice and easy to work with. The venting was acceptable, but it blasted my wife in the face when we faced each other. Additionally, I had to ensure that humidity levels were not too high, as that caused a whistling sound. However, this wasn’t a deal breaker for me.

One downside is the plastic piece that connects the headgear to the mask on the forehead, which I refer to as the "flax. " This hook broke twice, rendering the mask unusable. My first mask lasted 9 months, and the second one lasted about 14 months. I know this is the expected life span of the mask, but still a flax. Because of this issue, I'm rating the mask 4 out of 5 stars. If it weren't for the hook breaking, it would easily be a 5-star mask for me.

    I absolutely love this mask.

I absolutely love this mask. I know it has been around for a long time now, but there is a reason for that; it simply works. If you need a full face mask this is a great choice. I have been using it as my nightly mask for about three years now. It is robust and as full face masks go, it is pretty comfortable.
