Charge-and-go made simple

Two quick steps and you’re ready. Monitor charge status right on your Z1/Z2.

  1. Seat the Z1/Z2 and battery fully in the PowerShell.
  2. Plug the AC Power Supply and Cord into the wall; place the Z1/Z2 in standby (0.0).
  3. Watch the battery bars flash while charging; full when the fourth bar is solid.
  4. If charging doesn’t start, reseat components until they click and retry.

Setup, compatibility, and travel notes

Built for the Z1/Z2 PowerShell: choose “Battery Only” to refresh a worn pack or “With PowerShell” if you need the housing. Older PowerShell units may need a firmware update to properly charge this extended battery. The battery is FAA compliant for carry‑on travel; review the official guidance in this brief FAA battery rules PDF. For shelf life, units ship at 30–50% charge, providing a minimum of six months when stored around 25°C; if stored warmer, recharge periodically. Because sleep shouldn’t depend on wall outlets.

  • Works exclusively with Z1 or Z2 via PowerShell
  • Older PowerShells may require a firmware upgrade
  • FAA compliant for carry‑on use

    It is not a “five”

It is not a “five” because I paid $35 for their online prescription that was not sufficient to purchase the Z2! But the Z2 works wonders. The number of sleep apnea events have gone to almost zero!

    Good Evening Chloe,

Thank you for your review and for sharing your experience.

Upon reviewing your account and prescription, I wanted to clarify that the $35 Rx renewal service you purchased resulted in a prescription that was valid specifically for BiPAP machines, such as those listed here: BiPAP Machines Collection. Unfortunately, this type of prescription doesn’t meet the requirements for APAP or travel machines like the Z2.

Did you mention your preference for the Z2 or an APAP device during your virtual consultation with the sleep doctor? If not, that may have impacted the type of prescription issued. I’d be happy to look into possible next steps or help explore options to get a valid prescription for the Z2.

Please let me know how I can further assist—I’m at your full disposal.

Thank you again for trusting CPAP.com with your therapy needs! You can always reach us by texting 844-238-9830, emailing support@cpap.com, or calling us directly at 800-356-5221 or 713-351-3414.

It's my pleasure to assist you. If you need anything else, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’ll be available in chat and email until 8 PM CST. 😊

    Warm regards,

    Live in the country where

Live in the country where power goes out all the time. This is a better short term solution than messing with the generator in the middle of the night when power goes out.

    Terrible battery life

The battery will not hold a charge when not in use for more than 3 days. If it is charged that morning, it will have lost 1/4 of the charge by evening. So if you are using this for camping you are already losing out on time of use. Apparently, according to CPAP reps, the website clearly states the battery is really only good for 6 months before reduction of "abilities." But, it fully discharges in 3 days! Not sure how a $400 battery can only hold a charge for a short period of time and only be good for 6 months with minimal use. Very unhappy with product!

    High cost, questionable benefit

The product literature says this battery takes 6.5 hours to recharge and a full charge will handle one 8.9 hour use. Good grief, if I had access to that much electricity every day while traveling, why would I need a $379 battery?

After one night of use, it appears that the battery might last me for two nights. But be aware of what you're buying!

    Waste of money

It keeps shutting off and on, the pressure is overwhelming when it does work. I tried 2 full nights. Worst nights ever since getting a CPAP, I bought this for travel. Wish I would of never wasted my money
