I have used Control III as a spray disinfectant for things like mail and delivered packages ever since the Chinese virus arrived. The test strips are important to make sure the solution in the spray bottle hasn't lost strength. They seem to work fine, but there is no way to really know, is there? At any rate, my precautions have kept me free from infection for a year now. I also use Control III to clean my CPAP components, but the test strips aren't needed for that since I use the solution immediately.
