How long does it take to adjust to wearing the TAP PAP Nasal Pillow Mask?

It depends on which part you're adjusting to. Adjusting to a mouthpiece may take a few days. Adjusting to a CPAP mask for the first time can take a couple of weeks for some people. If you experience discomfort, you can resize your mouthpiece or try a different size nasal pillow cushion.

What should I do if my TAP PAP mouthpiece feels too tight?

The TAP PAP mouthpiece should be a comfortably snug fit. To loosen the fit of the mouthpiece, hold the mouthpiece under hot tap water for 15 seconds and re-insert. Rather than sucking against the mouthpiece, gently bite on it for approximately 4 minutes. The fit will loosen around the teeth.

Please note, though, that you will not be able to use AirMini HumidX Waterless Humidification with this configuration. However, Breas Blue Foam HMEs and Transcend AirMist HMEs will work with standard tubing.

    Most comfortable mask I've tried thus far

    Finally, a mask that doesn't disrupt my sleep due to discomfort! The lack of head attachments makes an enormous difference, particularly for side sleepers like me. I also have a stand-alone mouth guard for my apnea, so it was very easy for me to get used to the myTap's mouth piece as well. I highly recommend this mask!

    This mask is not for

    This mask is not for me. When the pressure gets up to 14 psi, it leaks. No amount of adjustment stopped the leaking without feeling uncomfortable. I do love the concept.

    When I started using this

    When I started using this TapPap CPAP mask, I could not find it anywhere else! I’m still using this style and will expect that if I choose to change to a different type that’s new that I will find it here.
