ResMed AirFit X30i Oral Nasal CPAP Mask

Hybrid comfort for mouth breathers with tube‑up freedom

Hybrid comfort, mouth‑breather ready

The AirFit X30i combines an oral cushion around your mouth with pillows that rest at the nostrils for a reliable seal without a bulky front. The top‑of‑head tubing keeps your hose out of the way, so turning, side‑sleeping, or settling in is simpler. QuietAir venting gently disperses exhaled air for a more peaceful bedroom, while plush headgear adds softness and stability. Each kit includes three pillow sizes to help you dial in comfort and reduce leaks.

  • Dual‑cushion design: mouth + nasal pillows
  • Tube‑up frame for fewer hose tangles
  • QuietAir venting for softer nights
  • Includes Small, Medium, Large pillows

Fit that stays comfortable

Comfortable therapy starts with an easy, consistent fit. The X30i’s soft silicone cushions and stable frame help you settle in quickly.

  • Position under nose, around mouth; keep logo upright.
  • Try the included pillow sizes to find your best seal.
  • Adjust upper and lower headgear evenly for stability.
  • Enjoy an open line of sight for reading or TV.

Compatibility, safety, and simple nights

Getting started should be straightforward. The X30i connects to most CPAPs via a standard hose and features a quick‑release elbow for fast midnight breaks. It uses the same frame as the F30i, so you can swap cushions if you prefer that style. The mask contains magnetic clips and includes built‑in safety features (exhaust vents and anti‑asphyxia valves); keep vents clean and magnets away from certain implants. If you use an AirMini, add the Zephair Tubing Adapter and a regular unheated hose.

  • Works with most CPAP machines and heated tubing
  • Quick disconnect at the elbow
  • Interchangeable with F30i frame
  • Magnets present; follow implant precautions
How to Find Your Size

The X30i frame comes in small, standard, and large sizes.

  • The Standard frame should work well for the majority of wearers.
  • If you have a wider face or strong bone structure, consider sizing up.
  • Petite users may prefer the small frame, available with assembly kits.
  • If your mask feels too loose or too tight, adjusting your frame size may help.

Finding Your Cushion Size

The X30i cushion includes two components: a universal-fit oral cushion and interchangeable nasal pillow cushions.

  • The mouth cushion is one-size-fits-most and works with all X30i and F30i frames.
  • Your mask kit includes small, medium, and large nasal pillows—try each to find the size that gives you the best comfort and seal with minimal leaks.
Care & Cleaning

Cleaning Schedule

  • Daily: Oral cushion and nasal pillows
  • Weekly: Headgear, frame, and tubing elbow

Facial oil and dirt can easily build up on your mask parts when they’re not cleaned properly. This can lead to skin irritation and a leaky mask seal which will have a negative impact on your therapy. Mask Part Replacement Schedule

  • Nasal Pillows: Every 1-3 Months (Resmed recommends twice monthly)
  • Oral Cushion: Every 3-6 Months
  • Frame: Every 6-9 Months
  • Headgear: Every 6-9 Months
  • Complete Mask: Every 12 Months

Cleaning the AirFit X30i Time it takes: 5 minutes Supplies you’ll need to clean your mask:

  1. Sink or tub
  2. Warm, drinking-quality water (86°F / 30°C)
  3. Mild or hypoallergenic soap, or baby shampoo
  4. Towel

Step-by-step cleaning tips: If your mask is connected to a device, disconnect the device air tubing from the mask elbow, then disassemble your mask:

  1. Undo the fastening tabs on the upper headgear straps and pull from

the frame. Keep the magnetic clips attached to the lower headgear straps.

  1. Squeeze the side buttons on the elbow and detach from the frame.
  2. Grip the frame connector and lift to unclip from the cushion. Repeat

on the other side.

  1. Pull the pillows from the oral cushion.
  2. In the sink, clean your mask parts by gently rubbing (or using a soft-bristle brush) with warm, drinking-quality water and soap. Avoid harsh cleaning products and dish detergents.
  3. Rinse again thoroughly with warm, drinking-quality water.
  4. Place mask components on the towel and allow to air-dry away from direct sunlight.

FAQs about the ResMed AirFit X30i Oral Nasal CPAP Mask

Will the AirFit X30i work with my CPAP machine?

The AirFit X30i will work with any standard-sized tubing connection, meaning it is natively compatible with most CPAP machines, even if you're using heated tubing.

If you're interested in pairing the AirFit X30i with an AirMini Travel CPAP, you'll need the Zephair Tubing Adapter and a regular, unheated CPAP hose like Resmed's SlimLine Tubing.

Can I use an X30i cushion with my F30i frame?

Yes, the AirFit X30i and F30i use an identical frame, so you can swap seamlessly between the F30i's nasal cradle cushion and the X30i's hybrid nasal pillow design in seconds.

How often should I replace my AirFIt X30i cushion?

For the most hygienic, consistent, and comfortable therapy, Resmed recommends replacing the X30i's nasal pillows twice a month. Typically, you can use the same set of nasal pillows for 1 to 3 months on other masks. The X30i's oral cushion should be replaced every 3 to 6 months for consistently comfortable therapy.

How do I know which size frame to pick for the AirFit X30i?

For most people, the Standard frame should fit well. If you typically use smaller hats or headgear, or have a generally smaller head size, you may be better off with the small frame. Similarly, if you typically wear larger hats or headgera, or have a generally larger head size, you may be better off with the large frame.

    Problem solver mask

The ResMed AirFit X30i is a problem-solver mask, not a starter mask.

    • Buy it if: You are a mouth breather who loves the freedom of the F30i frame but constantly experiences leaks at the nose bridge/cradle when you move. The nasal pillows will "lock" the mask in place more securely than a cradle.

    • Avoid it if: You have sensitive nostrils or have never used CPAP before. The complexity of fitting both nasal pillows and a mouth cushion simultaneously, combined with the low user rating, suggests a steep learning curve.

Recommendation: If you are new to this style, consider the AirFit F30i (cradle style) first, as it is generally more universally tolerated. Only move to the X30i if the F30i cradle fails to stay sealed for you.

    Not the best

Not my favorite mask. It was very expensive, and I have yet to form a proper seal on my face.

Don't waste your time and trouble

I have been on a cpap for over 10 years and have used several different masks, this is the worst one I have used!

To begin with, I have never been told I have a small head, but even the small mask, it was a struggle to keep in place; it slipped to the point that I had to make it so tight that the nasal pillows were irritating my nose, even trying all 3 sizes. The automatic start of my ResMed machine wasn't able to detect that I had my mask completely on ready for bed even tho I tried all 3 of the various settings for the different masks, AND I woke up several times with the mask on and the cpap machine had stopped working. I have used this machine for 9 months with absolutely no problem with it quit in the middle of the night. The silicone mask around my mouth area would move when I turned on to my side, causing the mask to leak. I will be sticking with the ResMed AirFit 10 and chin strap for keeping my mouth closed.
