Battery with a wall outlet (AC): Looks like a small power station. Just plug your AirMini's normal power brick into it. Make sure the battery says "pure sine wave," which means "safe, clean power”. These are ideal for extended outages lasting more than a night or two.
CPAP-specific battery (DC): These are smaller and more efficient. You’ll use the AirMini's DC converter cable (a special cord) to plug straight from the battery to your machine. These batteries are usually better for a night or two off the grid.
How long with an AirMini CPAP battery run?
It depends on battery size and your machine's settings. Higher pressures and air leaks can affect runtime. CPAP batteries tend to run longer with travel machines because they are more energy efficient and do not have a built-in humidifier.
Are AirMini batteries FAA approved for air travel?
FAA and TSA regulations state that lithium-ion batteries and power banks must be packed into a carry-on, not stored in your luggage. Always check your battery’s watt-hour rating (Wh) and your airline’s rules before you fly.
Up to 100 Wh: Approved for flight
100–160 Wh: Usually okay, but check with your airline
Over 160 Wh: Not allowed
Can I use an AirMini CPAP battery as a backup battery when the power goes out?
Most of our batteries can be used as a backup CPAP battery. Look for batteries that support “pass-through” or “UPS mode.” To set up your UPS battery as a backup, you'll plug your battery into the wall, and then plug your CPAP machine into the battery. So when the lights go out, the battery takes over without missing a beat.
